Red Travel offers a taste of the very finest in Italian living, combined with an unforgettable Ferrari driving experience. Red Travel events are dedicated to the discovery of our complete Ferrari stable (Ferrari F430 F1, Ferrari F430 Spider F1, Ferrari 430 Scuderia F1, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano F1, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti F1) offering the opportunity to get to know each of the latest models whilst enjoying the exhilaration of driving them personally on some of the most beautiful roads in Italy. Travelling in groups of 10 or more cars and with our skilled staff on hand to assist, our completely personalised tours offer the utmost in pure driving pleasure.
A Ferrari experience can be combined with several options, from cultural programmes (private visits to palaces and museums) to wellness choices (spa treatments) and leisure activities (cooking lessons, wine tasting or team building activities).
We are able to accommodate small parties of 6 people as well as larger groups of up to 100, for one to four day journeys or events. Since each group possesses its own unique characteristics, Red Travel designs tailor-made solutions to completely satisfy specific requirements. Previous participants include such prestigious companies as Siemens, Nokia, Martini & Rossi, JP Morgan, IBM and many others.

Experience the destination and feel the strong, fascinating emotions as if admiring the paintings of Tuscan artists of Ancient Times and the Renaissance. Fonteverde is located amidst the splendid scenery of the Siena hills, in San Casciano dei Bagni, Val d’Orcia. A vast natural park, crossed by the river Orcia spreading to the south of Siena. The exclusive resort was built in the 17th century by the Grand Duke Ferdinando I de’ Medici amid precious hot springs whose therapeutic properties were known since ancient times. Extensive spa centre with various treatments and medical consultations as well as natural thermal hot waters, seven swimming therapeutic pools, a holistic centre and beauty centre.

DAY 1: Welcome to Val d’Orcia, Tuscany
Afternoon
- Arrival at Rome – Fiumicino International Airport and private transfer to Fonteverde Natural Spa Resort.
- Arrival and check-in at Hotel Fonteverde.
Afternoon dedicated to Spa & Relax: the mineral-rich, natural warm spring waters that emerge here have multiple therapeutic benefits for the organism. Take advantage of the thermal pool, the bioaquam® circuit (with its various hydromassages) or any other spa treatment offered by this highly reputable spa resort set in the midst of the rolling hills of the Val d’Orcia (southern Tuscany).
- 17.00: Guests will be served a welcome cocktail in the beautiful surroundings of the hotel, whilst enjoying a stunning Ferrari display right in front of the hotel hall.
- 18.30: Full Ferrari briefing
Our English speaking Red Travel Tour Director, an expert Ferrari driver, will brief the group on how to drive the different Ferrari models. He will present the full Ferrari range; explain the difference between the various models (Ferrari F430 F1, Ferrari F430 Spider F1, Ferrari 430 Scuderia F1, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano F1, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti F1) and the engines (8-cylinder and 12-cylinder) and most importantly, give guidance on how to handle the F1 paddle-gear shifting behind the steering wheel.

Taste the excellence of Tuscan cuisine: Natural ingredients offering refined products of indisputable quality with particular attention to detail combine to give delicious gourmet and Spa Cuisine recipes, and again... a series of typical local restaurants offering traditional Tuscan cuisine with regional ingredients like olive oil, Porcini mushrooms, Pienza cheese, Brunello wine and Chianina meat.

DAY 2: Val d’Orcia tour by Ferrari
Morning
- From 8am, a buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant or if guests prefer, can be taken in their room.
Red Travel will prepare for you the 10 Ferraris, which you will find, hand-washed and refuelled, ready to leave for the Val d’Orcia tour.
- Before departure, our Tour Director, connected by mobile radio system, will hold a second complete briefing with the guests once settled inside the Ferraris.

The group will drive the Ferraris for a full day on the beautiful roads of the Mille Miglia route. Our Tour Director leads the convoy at the wheel of his Alfa Romeo Brera 3.2, guiding the Ferraris along the most exciting hilly and curving roads, carefully selected by Red Travel. A further three support cars (with mechanics) will follow the convoy to ensure safety and to assist the group drivers if necessary. Each team member is connected to the rest of the group and to Red Travel staff by means of a powerful radio system.
During the tour will be scheduled several halts to allow the switch between drivers and passengers and for drink/toilette.
The itinerary for this full Ferrari driving day includes the visits of the most beautiful places in Val d’Orcia, i.e. Pienza, Montepulciano and Montalcino. Whilst driving, our guests will be able to enjoy outstanding views of the famous Tuscan vineyards on either side of the road. Mediaeval villages and the beautiful natural landscape offer an overwhelming feast for the eyes.
- First stop is Pienza, Pope Pius’ II birthplace, located high on a hillside. Meant to be the ideal Renaissance town, Pienza comprises such beauties as a white stone cathedral, Palazzo Piccolomini with its fine courtyard, Palazzo Borgia, a graceful Piazza…
- The tour heads towards Montepulciano, archetypical Tuscan mediaeval town built at the summit of a hill as well and surrounded by walls and fortifications. The place is famous for its Vino Nobile, one of Italy’s major red wines.
- 13.00: Lunch in Montepulciano. Restaurant suggestions: La Grotta, located in front of the beautiful St. Biagio Temple; Le Logge del Vignola, in the centre of Montepulciano.
Montepulciano, on a hill 605 m. high, overlooking Chiana and Orcia valleys, close to Siena, Perugia and Arezzo, is one of the best-conserved and most characteristic medieval villages of the whole area.
Afternoon
- 15.00: Departure to Montalcino by Ferrari along the magnificent Mille Miglia route.
- Arrival in Montalcino, reached meandering through the vineyards that provide the grapes for the production of the famous Brunello. Upon availability, you will taste this other highclass red wine at the estate of Biondi Santi after having visited the cellar of this masterful wine producer.
- Visit of the historical centre of Montalcino with its fort and the churches of Sant’Agostino and Sant’Egidio.
The famous Mille Miglia route offers a breathtakingly picturesque panorama, the enjoyment of which is enhanced by the pure pleasure of driving over an amazing succession of rolling hills and round never-ending curves!
At the wheel of his Alfa Romeo, our Red Travel Tour Director guides the group through this vivid land of enchanting towns and villages. The charm of southern Tuscany is encapsulated in the stunning Val d’Orcia, a picture-postcard valley, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its colourful landscape, dotted with green cypress trees under an amazing blue sky. This truly unique experience offers a wealth of memories to treasure.
- 18.00: Arrival at Fonteverde Natural Spa Resort.
Each participant will receive a DVD with high-resolution images of the day.

Evening
DAY 3: Beautiful Umbria
Morning
- Breakfast in hotel and checkout.
- A private transfer will lead you to the discovery of the magnificent landscape of Umbria.
- Halt at Orvieto, a perfect example of integration between nature and man’s work. Perched on a plateau of tufa rock, with the outline of its world famous Duomo visible for miles around, the city of Orvieto has adapted to the needs of the modern-day tourist by transforming itself into a car-free haven. Access to the city in fact is either via the funicular that runs from the railway station below up to the old town centre, passing directly by the Albornoz fortress, or up the system of escalators dug into the cliff-side from a large parking lot located further down.
- 13.00: Lunch in the centre of Orvieto. Restaurant suggestions: Sette Consoli, Il Giglio d’Oro

Exemplary food, wine and service. And to dine under the big white tent in the rear courtyard is truly memorable. The Umbrian cuisine relies heavily on locally produced ingredients, i.e. pork, boar, porcini, truffles and terrific olive oil.

A great view of the Duomo is coupled with superb food. Eggplant is transformed into elegant custard with black truffles, lamb roasted in a crust of bread is delicately seasoned with a tomato cream sauce. The wine cellar includes some rare vintages.

Special authorisation to enter city centres, normally prohibited to motor vehicles, will allow our guests to park their top cars right in the heart of the towns we visit.
- Any problems are managed by our specialised team (including our own mechanics), using four support cars to assist the group in all eventualities throughout the day, in order to ensure total safety and maximum driving pleasure during the tours.
