Location

If you are driving from Rome or Naples, follow directions for motorway A3 in direction of Salerno. On A3 take Exit " Vietri sul Mare " following signs for Amalfi and you will be on the famous Amalfi drive. Once you are in Amalfi follow signs for Positano and 1/2 mile from the Centre of Amalfi you will find the Santa Caterina Hotel on your left-hand side. Approximate journey time 1 1/2 hours. Naples Airport is the nearest Airport well connected with Rome, Milan, Venice, London, Paris & Frankfurt

Food and Beverage

The Santa Caterina has two Restaurants, one in the Main Building and the other at the Sea Level. The cuisine is so famous that it has been hosted in New York's Hotel Plaza on more than one occasion. Our award-winning cuisine is part of the enjoyment of the Santa Caterina. The fame of the two restaurants is recognized by the most authoritative guidebooks worldwide.

Located on the Reception Level, the Santa Caterina Restaurant offers spectacular Views and a large Terrace for dining. The Dining Room is very elegant and features marble and lapis lazuli Floors. The Cuisine is renowned for its delicious, traditional yet creative dishes. Dress Code is informal but long trousers are required. Buffet Breakfast and Lunch in low season are also served here. Reservation is recommended.

In high season from May to October, Lunch is served in the Al Mare Restaurant located at the Beach Club level overlooking the Swimming Pool. Here grilled fish and pizzas baked in the traditional oven are available. Dress Code is informal and shorts are welcome. Reservation is recommended.

An aperitif, a snack, a drink after dinner are extremely pleasant in the Bar Lounge La Terrazza or the large Terrace with View over Amalfi and the wonderful Bay. The Barman prepares a large selection of cocktails, long drinks and home-made lemon liqueurs, accompanied by hot and cold canapés.

The delightful Spiaggia Bar located at the Beach Club offers an attentive service with an extensive choice of soft drinks, fruit cocktails and tropical drinks to refresh oneself during the hours dedicated to sun and sea.

Guests may enjoy drinks and refreshments on the adjoining Sea View Terrace, while those who prefer to dine in the privacy of their own Terraces may order from Room Service until one O' Clock in the morning.

Dress Code is informal. Shorts are allowed at lunch at the Restaurant " Al Mare ". Long trousers are required in the evening at the Restaurant " Santa Caterina ".

Room Info

Forty-four Standard, Superior and Deluxe Double Rooms and 10 Junior Suites and Suites are located in the Main Building. There are 12 additional accommodations between the Garden Suites and the Villa Santa Caterina Annex. The spacious Deluxe Rooms feature original Antiques, hand-painted Ceramic tile Floors, Sea View Bathrooms and offer Five-star amenities including brass fixtures, Heated Towel Bars and a lot of privacy amidst the natural splendors of the Amalfi Coast.

Each of the seventy luminous Rooms and Suites has a Balcony with View on the Amalfi Coast. Many have a large Terrace or Garden. They are furnished with early 20th century family pieces and decorated with Vietri multi-colored ceramics. The Rooms emphasize the atmosphere of exquisite welcome, each is different from the other and is enriched by a touch of fantasy. The Suites are stunning, in particular " Romeo and Juliet " ( an intimate two-storey chalet perched on the cliff above the sea ), " Follia Amalfitana " immersed in the citrus grove, " Casa dell' Arancio " ( House of the Orange ), " Vite " ( Grapevine ), " Glicine " ( Wisteria ), " Campanule " ( Bellflowers ) and " Limoni " ( Lemons ).

All the Rooms are equipped with Air Conditioning, Heating, Direct Dial Telephones, ISDN Lines, Voice Mail, PC Outlet, Satellite Color TV, Mini Bar, Safety Box, Movie Channels and Balcony or Terrace. The Deluxe Junior Suites and Suites have also Jacuzzis. Some Rooms are connecting, in some cases to other Room categories, too.

MAIN BUILDING ROOMS & SUITES:

The Standard Rooms with Side Sea View are comfortable and have a Balcony. These Rooms are usually smaller than the Superior and Deluxe Rooms. Upon your request Beds can be Queen or Twin-bedded. The Floors are all tiled differently with colorful ceramics from Vietri. Some of them have Jacuzzi.

The Superior Rooms with Front Sea View are located in a quieter position than the Standards. They have Balcony and Front Sea View. Upon your request Beds can be Queen or Twin-bedded. The Floors are all tiled differently with colorful ceramics from Vietri. Some of them have a Jacuzzi.

The Deluxe Rooms with Front Sea View and Jacuzzi are Elegant Large Rooms with Balcony and Front Sea View, nicely decorated with antique furniture. Upon your request Beds can be King or Twin-bedded. The Floors are all tiled differently with colorful ceramics from Vietri. All of them have Jacuzzi and Shower over the Bath.

The Junior Suites with Front Sea View and Balcony or Terrace are large and spacious with Lounge Area and Balcony or Terrace overlooking the Sea and Amalfi. They are Nicely decorated with antique furniture. Upon your request Beds can be King or Twin-bedded. The Floors are all tiled differently with colorful ceramics from Vietri. All of them have Jacuzzi and separate Shower.

The Executive Junior Suites with Front Sea View and Terrace are larger Junior Suites with Lounge Area and large Terrace overlooking the Sea and Amalfi. They are Nicely decorated with antique furniture. Upon your request Beds can be King or Twin-bedded. The Floors are covered with hand-painted colorful ceramics from Vietri. The Bathrooms are very large and are tiled with high-relief ceramics. All of them have Jacuzzi Pool and separate Shower. They are Non Connecting Rooms.

The Suite with Front Sea View and Balcony or Terrace are large One Bedroom Suites with separate Lounge and Balcony or Terrace overlooking the Sea and Amalfi. Suite Follia Amalfitana with Front Sea View and Jacuzzi Pool is ideal for a romantic retreat with full View of the Bay, located in the Centre of our lemon and orange groves. The Rooms are spacious with white washed walls, tiled with large emerald color ceramics. The Lounge has a large Veranda with Sea View and Balcony, where you can enjoy Breakfast admiring the sun rising from the Sea. The Bedroom has a Super-king hart shape Bed and Balcony. The large Bathroom has a double sink and a sunken Jacuzzi Pool with Veranda overlooking the Sea and Amalfi.

Chalet Giulietta & Romeo with full Sea View is the ideal Honeymoon retreat independent on sea level, located in the Centre of our lemon and orange groves. The Suite is laid on two Floors, the Entrance is on the Top Floor where you find the King-bedded Room with a picturesque round Terrace for two with full Sea View, overlooking Amalfi and the Bay. On the same level there is the Main Bathroom with Jacuzzi and separate Shower with a Sea View oblong window with View of the Bay. The Ground Floor features another Bathroom and a Lounge with Terrace and small Garden.

VILLA SANTA CATERINA:
