Our historical hero Odysseus, excited by the beauty of both nature and Kalypso, stayed with her seven years before returning back to his kingdom and his family.The Kalypso Cretan Village Resort & Spa is situated at Plakias, 31 km south of Rethymnon and 115 km of Heraklion Airport.Karavos beach is an impressive natural park, where towering rocks (fjords) form an important observation area in the centre of the Mediterranean as well as a hidden sea inlet, which used to be a pirate shelter 300 years ago and is now popular for short visits.

KALYPSO CRETAN VILLAGE RESORT & SPA is a 4 star resort hotel , and it is the southernmost hotel of Europe, on the KARAVOS COAST, 31 km south of Rethymnon and 115 km of Heraklion Airport.

Restaurant - Bar
Situated between the reception and the pools with a view to the Libyan Sea, the restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can choose everything you want from a buffet with a variety of dishes in an air-conditioned room or at the garden with excellent décor and sea view.

The hotel kitchen prepares homemade meals, mostly fresh sea food menus and a mixture of Greek and international cuisine. Special events like barbecue and traditional Cretan food are often organized here.

Three bars offer their services from 10:00 to 02:00:

Levante (Pool Bar offers Snacks and drinks) 10:30-18:00
El Baba (Beach Bar, offers Snacks and drinks) 12:00-16:00
Main Bar (Main Bar, offers drinks and ice-cream) 18:00-02:00

Bungalow blocks of 15 rooms built in the traditional Cretan style, set in a 50 acre garden surrounded by fjords. Out of respect for the environment, the hotel has only 125 rooms up to 35 sqm each, with balcony or terrace.

They are equipped with bathroom, air-conditioning, mini-fridge, safe, direct dial telephone, satellite television with music channels.

There are different types of rooms:

Superior Double Rooms (35 sqm) on the first floor, with sea view

They come with private garden with trees and a terrace,sea view, bathroom, telephone and hair dryer, new furniture (in ancient Greek style), with reclining couch (for a third person) and enough space for a portable children’s bed or baby crib.

Facilities: Air-conditioner, satellite TV with two music channels, mini fridge, coffee maker and water boiler (free of charge).They also have a small safe and internet access which is charged.

Superior Family Rooms (35 sqm) at ground level with sea view

They have a terrace with sea view, bathroom,telephone, hair dryer, raised wooden floor with two beds (ontas) and a kitchenette with coffee maker and water boiler (kitchen equipment for kids is available).The furniture is new (Greek ancient style) including a double sofa bed, a reclining couch (for a third person and a child) and a baby crib if needed.

Facilities: Air-conditioning system, satellite TV with two music channels and mini fridge (free of charge), safe and internet access which is charged.

Classic Double Rooms (35 sqm) on the first floor, with sea view
There is a private garden and a terrace with sea view, bathroom, classic furniture and decoration with a sofa for a third child) and the option for a portable children’s bed and a baby crib.

Facilities: Air-conditioning system, satellite TV with two music channels and mini fridge (free of charge). There is a small charge for the safe.

Classic Double Rooms (26 sqm) on the first floor, with sea view.

There is a private garden and a terrace with sea view, bathroom, classic furniture and there is the possibility of adding a baby crib.

Classic Family Rooms (35 sqm), on the ground floor, with sea view (some without)

There is a terrace with sea view, bathroom, a raised wooden floor with two beds (ontas) and a kitchenette with coffee maker and water boiler (all the necessary kitchen equipment for kids). Classic furniture with sofa-bed (for a third child) and the possibility of adding portable kid’s bed and baby crib.

Facilities: Air-conditioning system, satellite TV with two music channels and mini fridge (free of charge). There is a small charge for the safe.

Classic Single Rooms on the first floor, with sea view
