Location

The Four Seasons Resort at Sayan site lies 35 km/22 miles north/north-east of Ngurah Rai International Airport on 18 acres of lush, green terraced rice slopes, overlooking the Ayung River.

Food and Beverage

The Resort has two Restaurants, one Bar and 24-hour Room service.Ayung Terrace: Elegantly situated on the crest of a lush gorge, the dining Room offers breathtaking views of the swift-flowing river below. Serving three meals daily, guests may select to dine in the Restaurant or on the Terrace. Seating for 24 is available in the dining Room and the Terrace area accommodates 34 : A private dining area for eight is adjacent. Breakfast is served from 06:30 - 11:00, lunch from 11:00-03:00 and dinner from 06:00-10:00.

Riverside Cafe: Light Western fares and wood burning pizza are served in casual, poolside open-air setting. Located next to the river and shaded by Iron wood singles roof and Umbrellas, the Restaurant is open from 11:00–06:30 and seats 40.

Jati Bar: Located next to the Lobby, this comfortable lounge built out of beautiful teak wood is known for its spectacular view and delicious libations.  Open daily from 12:00 to 12:00. Rindik music is featured from 11:00–02:00 and Gender is featured from 06:00-09:00.

Room Info

The 60 well-appointed guest accommodations are built along 18 acres of terraced hillside and use indigenous materials in an innovative Balinese design, tastefully combining the traditional and modern.

Eighteen suites are ideally located in the central building, while the remaining 42 villas are all free standing with spacious gardens. Each villa has a private plunge pool and are spread throughout the hotel grounds: some along the river bank, others on the rolling hillside surrounded by rice fields and fourteen on the crest of the hill – all affording imposing views.

All accommodations feature custom-made furnishings from Java and Bali and the resort fabrics are hand-loomed, dyed and woven locally.  All the furniture in the villas has been selected to complement the villa design and enthusiasts praise the skillful selection of art and artifacts.

Suite Accommodation: The Resort comprises 18 Suites, exquisitely accented with rich teak and Indonesian natural stone. Each offers separate Bedroom with custom-made furnishings. Large Bathrooms have Double vanities, a terrazzo soaking tub, WC. and separate glass Shower. There is a separate sitting and dining area, with a wooden deck and lounge chairs overlooking the river valley with over 900 feet of accommodation, including Terraces.

One Bedroom Villas, 37 units with 11 units on the Riverfront, 2152ft²/200m² including terrace and plunge pool: Are designed to complement the natural surroundings and offer the utmost in privacy, with lush vegetation, lotus gardens and water features. The impressive living area opens on to a large wooden deck with an adjacent private plunge pool 129 ft² / 12 m² and private garden. The large Bedroom, with a skilful selection of art and artefacts, connects to a Dressing Room and spacious Bathroom with a terrazzo soaking Bathtub, Double vanities, separate WC, free-standing glass Shower and outdoor Shower.

Two-Bedroom Villa, 2 units, 9149ft²/850m² including terrace areas and plunge pools: Offering even greater luxury is the two-Bedroom Villa featuring an enlarged living/dining Room and spacious king and twin Bedrooms. Each Bedroom opens onto its own private terraced deck : the large Bathroom has a terrazzo soaking Bathtub, Double vanities, WC, glass Shower and outdoor Shower. A large 215 square foot 20m² plunge pool is framed by a beautifully-landscaped garden.

Sayan Villa, 2 units, 4842ft²/450m²:  Sitting on the highest point in the resort with a private entrance, the Sayan Villa commands breathtaking views over the Ayung River Valley and offers the utmost in privacy. A flowing water feature, lily ponds and lush garden flank the entry into a lobby, oversized living area with a six seat dining Room and the choicest selection of handmade Indonesia furniture. A large patios garden and terraces are adjacent to the private pool 12.73m². The spacious Bedroom, which features a four-poster canopy Bed, 26" TV and CD unit, this leads to a Dressing Room and large Bathroom with soaking Bath, separate Shower, twin vanities, separate WC and outdoor Shower.

Royal Villa, one unit, 10,763ft2/1000m² including terraces, outdoor bale, pool and decks: This huge, three Bedroom residence is uniquely  located in a prime position by the river and surrounding jungle. Entry is past the rooftop lily-pond and private meditation areas to a first floor verandah with a day Bed and chairs, flanked on  either side by a king-sized Bedroom and twin Bedroom, each with spacious Bathrooms. The stairway descends to an Air-conditioning dining Room for six guests with unobscured views of the Ayung River and next to a large comfortable living Room and Kitchen. There is a rare collection of Indonesian art treasures, each contributing to the lavish, understated elegance of the Villa. The third Bedroom and Bathroom open on to a private screened patio near to the spectacular 470 ft2/43m² pool and sun bathing terrace. To the right, near the water feature, is a large Balinese open-sided living and dining bale, which overhangs the Ayung River and offers a special alternative venue for entertaining and relaxation. Classical Indonesian and primitive artwork is in evidence, the villa has its own full-time butler and is unsurpassed in Bali for its location and size.
