Location

Mena House Oberoi is located in the Giza district of Cairo, the capital of Egypt. The hotel is 15 kilometers from the city center. Set in 40 acres of gardens under the shadow of the Great Pyramids.

Access

By air: Cairo International airport is a 45 minutes drive from the hotel, which is well connected by international flights from a host of destinations worldwide. Cairo is well connected to Luxor, Aswan, Alexandria, Hurghada and Sharm El Shiekh, with daily flights operated by Egypt Air.  The flying time from Cairo to all cities ranges between forty five minutes to one hour.

By road: Cairo is well connected by roads to all parts of Egypt. The drive to Hurghada takes approximately five hours. The drive to Alexandria takes approximately two hours.

By rail: Mena House Oberoi is approximately 8 kilometers from the Giza railway station and 15 Kilometers from Cairo railway station.  The travel time by train from Cairo to Alexandria is approximately two hours, while the travel time by train from Cairo to Luxor is approximately eleven hours.

Food and Beverage

Khan El Khalili: Open 24 hours. Named after the famous Cairo market, Khan El Khalili serves coffee and light Egyptian and Continental meals 24 hours a day.  The interior features figured brass tabletops, marble floor and intricate plaster ceiling. Tall arched windows give views over the landscaped gardens. The Greenery: In the Garden wing. Open for buffet breakfast, snacks and light refreshments, Mediterranean style The Moghul Room: Open for dinner For a taste of India. Specializes in Indian cuisine.  Al Rubayyat: Open 7.30pm-11.00pm for Dinner. Offers a continental menu in majestic surroundings. The palace restaurant features high carved wooden ceilings, huge arches, ornate brass lanterns, and fretwork galleries. The Oasis: Open 9am to sunset. Poolside restaurant and coffee shop. The Oasis has a stunning view of the pyramids. It offers a wide selection of dishes in a self-selection buffet. 

Bars and Clubs

The Sultan Bar has panoramic views of the pyramids. Dance the night away at The Saddle discotheque or go native with contemporary  Egyptian music and belly dancing at the Abu Niwas Night Club.

Mena House Oberoi has 523 rooms and suites in the Palace and Garden wings and Cabana style rooms by the swimming pool.

All 13 Suites, 15 of the Palace Rooms and 145 Garden Rooms have a view over the Pyramids. All guest accommodation at Mena House Oberoi is air conditioned with private bathroom. Rooms and Suites are lavishly appointed with traditionally inspired furnishings and rich carpets.
